Set up Steampunk Spotter
Before the assessment, we’ll send you an installation pack so you can prepare your environment (local or cloud). The Spotter license is provided during the call and is valid for one day.

Is this really free?
Yes, the assessment is currently 100% free. There’s no catch, no hidden fees, and no
obligation to buy anything. We offer it as a way to share insights and build trusted

Will you need access to our systems?
No. You’re in full control. You can run Spotter locally or in your own cloud environment. We never access your infrastructure directly.
What’s the difference between local and cloud assessment?
Both options offer the same features. It’s up to your preference:
- Local: Run Spotter in your environment for full control.
- Cloud VM: You can set up your private, isolated virtual machine.
In both cases, you remain in charge of your data.
Is my data safe?
Absolutely. Your data never leaves your environment. Nothing is stored or shared on our end. If needed, we’re happy to sign an NDA.
How long does the assessment take?
The entire process takes about 30 minutes. That includes the initial scan and a follow-up review with our expert.
What do I need to prepare before the call?

What if I don't have a formal playbook?
That’s okay. Even loosely structured or incomplete playbooks can be assessed. The goal is to help you understand the current state and how it can be improved.
